External Links Advertisement Note adds configurable labels to matching links on the public side of WordPress while leaving the destination URL unchanged.
Choose what should be marked
- all external HTTP and HTTPS links
- links using
rel="sponsored" - only selected domains
Control the presentation
Choose marker text, accessibility labels, position, size, color, border and underline behaviour. Image links and links inserted after page load can be handled optionally.
Domain and compatibility rules
Include or exclude domains, decide how subdomains are treated and exclude simple CSS selectors that should never receive a marker.
No forced link rewriting
The plugin does not automatically change destination URLs or add nofollow, sponsored or target="_blank" attributes. It applies the visual disclosure rules you configure.
Important
Not every external link is advertising. The plugin provides configurable labels and does not determine whether a disclosure is legally required.
