Taxonomy Curator is built to work with websites containing thousands or tens of thousands of taxonomy terms.
Instead of comparing every term with every other term, scans are processed in persistent batches and use indexed candidate groups.
This reduces server load and allows interrupted scans to continue after a page reload.

Safe merges with rollback snapshots
Before Taxonomy Curator performs a destructive operation, it creates a rollback snapshot.
Snapshots can preserve:
- term name and slug
- taxonomy relationships
- assigned posts and content
- term metadata
- parent and child relationships
- Polylang language information
- translation relationships
Merged taxonomy archives can automatically redirect to the surviving destination using a 301 redirect.

Analysis never changes your taxonomy data.
Review recommendations, filter the results and export the complete analysis as CSV or JSON before making any changes.
Built for multilingual WordPress
When Polylang is installed, Taxonomy Curator detects term languages and prevents accidental merges between different languages.
No external API is required.

Taxonomy Curator does not send your taxonomy data to an external service.
